October 24th
We had a busy week of learning! We were thankful that the rain decided to go away late in the week. We need our outdoor time. As we transition into cooler weather, be sure to pack a jacket or coat for your kindergartner as the weather can change drastically from morning to afternoon. Have your child practice zipping their coats, too.
Halloween Party/Parade
We will have a Halloween Snack/Party at 10:15am on Friday, Oct. 31st. The costume parade will begin at 10:45am. Families are welcome to attend and watch the parade. Following the parade, parents will come in to sign out their child from the classroom. Students should wear their costumes to school on Friday. Please remember that students may not bring toy "weapons" to school as part of their costumes.
Upcoming Field Trip
We will be going to the Grand Rapids Public Museum/Planetarium on Monday, Dec. 8th. We will arrive at the museum about 9:40am and will be leaving the museum at 1:00pm. Students will need to bring a lunch that day as we will be eating at the museum. Parents attending should meet us at the museum by 9:35am.
The following parents were drawn as lead volunteers for the museum and will not need to pay admission upon arrival: Kate Clark, Colleen Wickerham, Samantha Kaminski and Rachael McCarty. We will still need a lot of helpers, so if you did get drawn and are able to attend, we would love to have you meet us there! Thank you all!
Jan 27th--The Grand Rapids Symphony Lollipop Concert--The following parents were drawn to attend:
Kaylee Smith and Brooklyn Cowan.
We will have many more opportunities for help at upcoming field trips. I appreciate all of you willing to help!
