Mark your calendars for our Learning Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 26th! We are making a book about the farm for you to enjoy. During the Learning Fair you'll have a chance to tour through all the classrooms and see what other grade levels are learning about and enjoy an evening of music and ice cream in the gym. At the end of the evening, the classroom Learning Fair baskets will be raffled off. Hope you can join us!

This week we participated in Global Play Day and the 100th Day of School! During Global Play Day, the children are not directed on any activities. It is a time to learn, explore and be creative through play. We also celebrated 100 days of school by making 100 Day crowns, Fruit Loop necklaces, completing 100 exercises, counting by 1's and 10's to 100.
Next Tuesday, we will be going to the Wittenbach Nature Center (located directly across from the high school). We will be outside a good portion of the morning. Please make sure your child has snow pants, boots, mittens, coats and a hat. We will be back to school in time for lunch.
Please have all Valentine's sent to school by Thursday, Feb. 13th as we will be mailing them on Thursday morning. Please note: Add Miss Emma to your list of Valentine names! :)
Next week we are having a school-wide Spirit Week with a focus on kindness!
Monday: Wear blue or pink
Tuesday: Wear bright colors and hats
Wednesday: Wear workout/exercise clothes
Thursday: Crazy clothes and hair
Friday: Wear pink
Please note: Monday I will be out of the classroom for our Ski Regional Race.
We said goodbye to our friend, Colton, this week. We wish him and his family well in their new home and school!
Our Heart Challenge continues! We've had 10 kids already sign up and have started on Finn's mission!

Reading: Continue to practice the sight words. I will reassess the kids again later next week.
Math: We are learning to decompose numbers to solve missing addends. We are also learning to find all the equation combinations of numbers to 10.
