In your folder today, you will find our Santa Shopping envelopes.  We will be shopping on Monday morning.  If you would like your child to shop, please fill out the envelope and place it in your child's folder on Monday.  

Report Cards for the first trimester are also in the folder today.  Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to go over it with you.  

Sorry for the confusion with my earlier email.  The Christmas Concert is on Thursday at 2:30pm.  Hope to see you all there!

Tuesday, we are off to the Grand Rapids Public Museum.  Parents attending the museum, should meet us there by 9:40am.  Please send your child with a cold lunch and drink in the morning.  Also, have your child wear their Mustang's on the Move shirt!!

Reading:  We finished up our unit on plants this week by learning about how plants are helpful to people and we read about George Washington Carver and how from a very young age he enjoyed discovering the great outdoors and he eventually became a botanist, a scientist who studies plants.  

Phonics/Foundational Skills:  Letters your child should be able to give the sound for and also be able to write:  m, n, p, t, d, f, v, c, g, s, z, h, i, a, o, e.

Words to Practice:  the, a, I, am, and, at, if, it, is, in, as, an, am, on, not
  
Math:  We are learning about the (+) and (=) symbols and how two or more groups of objects can be combined to make a larger sum.
