November 8th

 November 8th

This week we started a  new reading unit learning all about plants!  So far we have learned that plants are living things that need water, air, sunlight and food to grow.  We learned that a plants leaves have a very important job called photosynthesis.  The leaves create food for the plant.  We also learned how the roots supply water and nutrients to the rest of the plant.  Today we learned about the life cycle of a plant and compared it to the life cycle of people.  The conversations your kindergartners have around the topic of plants has been exciting to listen to!
