September 8th

This week we started learning a Letter a Day!  We are making alphabet books for each letter, focusing on the name and sound.  The kids are getting lots of practice cutting, gluing, coloring and tracing.  They are also learning to follow multi-step directions and routines.  These are going to be very important skills as we move forward in the year.  

Mrs. Burnett was a guest reader in our class today!  She read us a story about being kind.  We have some very kind children in this class!

During our Number Corner we work on skills like counting up and down a number line, making counting collections and showing place value with straws.

Next week will be our first full week of school.  Hopefully, all the little ones can rest up and be ready to take on a full week!  Enjoy your weekend!
