September 1st
I just wanted to let you all know how impressed I have been with each of your children. They are easily adjusting to our routines and most importantly they are just such sweet little people! I was nervous about having to leave them for a couple of days after only 3 days of school, but they just did so well! I appreciate all the well wishes for my mom as well. As of today she is making good progress!
Next week we will dive right into our 26 days of Alphabet Boot Camp where we will introduce a new letter each day and do a variety of fun activities with them. This will be a quick review for some students and all new to others. We make sure that the kids are getting what they need whether it's more practice with letters and sounds or they are moving on to building and reading words.
Yesterday your kindergartner visited our library and picked out a book to keep at home for the week. We talked about how their backpack is the book's home. When they take it out to read it they should return it to their backpack and then it will always be ready to return on Thursdays.
Here's a couple pictures of fun from this week of learning.
Practicing scissor control...
We learned how to use our Literacy Centers...

Mrs. Judge our librarian shared a story with us!
Enjoy your long weekend!
