First Day Fun!
We started our day with an all school assembly to learn about being safe, respectful and responsible while at school. We spent lots of time learning routines and rules. There was a lot of listening, but we also found time to get to know each other by talking with partners and playing "Who's in the Middle". Today we started our Number Corner singing songs about the days of the week and counting the days in school. Today we practiced the number 1. Thank you for sharing your little people with me! They are a great bunch!!
A couple reminders for tomorrow...
*Your child is bringing home a folder today. They need to bring this back and forth to school everyday. They are learning about responsibility! If you have any notes or things to send to me or the office, please put it in the folder. You can look for any papers from school in here as well.
*Send a substantial snack everyday. Keep it separate from their lunch and show your kindergartner where they can find the snack.
*A spare set of clothes to keep in the backpack is always a good idea
*They will be very tired these first few weeks, but they settled in really well today!

*The kids will go straight out to the playground tomorrow morning.
We explored some of our classroom stations today. Everyday we make time to learn by building and creating through play. This is an important part of our day where we learn to work with others and solve problems on our own and with guidance when needed.
