Reading/Phonics
This week we spent lots of time listening for vowels. We also read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle and had fun retelling the story using props and puppets. We are learning that it can be a lot of fun to do more with a story than just read it. We can act it out, play school, make puppets for the characters and even make our own version of the story.
Can your child read all these SNAP words?

Math
We learned all about 3 dimensional shapes (spheres, cones, rectangular prisms, cylinders and cubes). These are often tough names to remember, so take some time to find things in your home with these shapes and have your kindergartner try to name them.
Reminders
* Send a snack daily several have been forgetting.
* Send a water bottle daily...our drinking fountain is now working, too!
