Conferences begin on Monday! If you signed up for a virtual conference, I will send you a link the day before. Please note it is an open meeting, so it's not specific to your time. Just join at your assigned time.
I will also send home some conference information for your to review prior to our conference. I'm looking forward to talking with you!
Global Play Day!
Unstructured play is so essential to our development! This helps children to develop social and emotional growth and develop problem solving skills. They learn how to control their world, play with others and have empathy. So much of our children's day is filled up with things we have planned for them. It's important to remember that they need time to just play without our guidance and without electronic devices.
We can gain so much insight into our kids simply by observing them play!
Reading/Phonics
As writer's we're learning to...
*put space between our words
*put a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence
*spell SNAP words correctly
*match our pictures to our words
*write all the sounds we hear, not just the first and last sounds.
All these things help make our writing easier to read!
Our Super Readers are learning to Check their Reading by asking themselves:

We celebrated the 100th Day of School and continued to work with counting on from any number, counting to 100 by 1's and 10's and counting backwards from 20.
Reminders
* Send a snack daily several have been forgetting.
* Send a water bottle daily...our drinking fountain is now working, too!
* Return library books every Monday
