Book Fair Information!

Our class will be visiting the book fair on Thursday, Feb. 3rd at 9:00am

You can also download the book fair app to help with selecting appropriate books for your child.  

Our "Official" conference sign up will come out on Tuesday from the office. If you haven't signed up for a virtual/phone conference please be sure to do so on Tuesday.

Field Trip to the Wittenbach/Wege Nature Center:

Thursday, Feb. 24th from 9:30-12:00pm

We will need at least two parent volunteers to meet us there!  Let me know if you are available.  I am still in the need of at least one more parent volunteer.

 Reading/Phonics

This week we were introduced to the new SNAP Words:  can   do    to.  We received Reading Mats to help organize our books.  We also learned about Pattern Power!  The class discovered that books can have patterns within the text as well.  When reading at home, see if your child can point out any patterns they hear when reading with you.

Math

This week we worked with the teen numbers and used base ten blocks and double ten frames to show how to represent each number and how to write them.

Reminders

*  Send a snack daily several have been forgetting.

*  Send a water bottle daily...our drinking fountain is now working, too!

*  Return library books every Monday
