Half Day of school on Monday!

Tuesday I will be out of the classroom.  Please send any end of the day notices directly to the office on Tuesday for the sub to receive.  Thank you!

Field Trip to the Wittenbach/Wege Nature Center:

Thursday, Feb. 24th from 9:30-12:00pm

We will need at least two parent volunteers to meet us there!  Let me know if you are available.

 Reading/Phonics

We have finished up our Super Powers unit this week.  We have learned many strategies to help us figure out those tricky words.  Today we celebrated being Super Readers with a parade!  All the classes and teachers came out to cheer for us!

Our next unit is called:  Bigger Books Bigger Reading Muscles!

Tricky Teens!  We are learning to recognize, name and count groups of objects from 11-20.  

Get our those number cards from your homework folder and practice naming the numbers from 0-20.  Also have them practice arranging all the numbers 0-20 in sequential order.  

We also continue to solve addition and subtraction number stories.  We have learned to draw pictures and use objects to help understand the equation.

Reminders

*  Send a snack daily several have been forgetting.

*  Send a water bottle daily...our drinking fountain is now working, too!

*  Return library books every Monday
