November 19th
Wow! That sunrise was gorgeous sunrise today!! We had a fun week of learning starting out with a trip to the Grand Rapids Public Museum. I want to say a special THANK YOU to Mrs. Khodl and all our parents that joined us at the museum on Monday. The class was so excited to share with me all of their adventures! It's one of my favorite trips for sure.
Next week Monday and Tuesday I will be out of the classroom. I will be heading out west to our ski camp for the week of Thanksgiving. Mr. Heitzmann will be subbing for me both days. If you have any end of the day changes please be sure to call the office at 616-987-2750.
I want to wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving! I feel so grateful to be apart of your children's lives. They bring me so much joy each day!

I have finished up most of our assessments for the first trimester. The making some great growth academically, socially and emotionally! Reports cards will come home on Monday, Dec. 6th.

Reading/Phonics
This week we strengthened our Pointer Power by hunting for know SNAP words. We also learned we have Partner Power! Yesterday we had fun teaching our stuffed animal friends all we've learned about the alphabet. We have some alphabet experts in our class!

Math
We continue to learn how to add two groups of objects together to make a whole new set. We are also working on counting by 1's to 50, backwards from 10 and by 10's to 100.
Reminders
* Send a snack daily several have been forgetting.
* Send a water bottle daily...our drinking fountain is now working, too!
* We are having Storytime instead of rest time now. Towels may remain at home. :)
* Return library books every Monday
