August 21st--First Week!
We had a great first week of school! Thanks for sharing your little ones with me. 😊
Your child will be bringing home a "Daily Folder". This needs to be returned every day. I will put any school work or notes for home in this folder. If you have anything for me, please place it in here as well. Every day that they remember to turn in their folder to me in the morning, they will earn a Mustang Moment. These are special little tickets they can earn for making good decisions at school and helping others. They can then use these tickets to buy things at our Mustang Market once a month. So fun!
It was a successful first week of school! Our focus this week was on learning our routines and getting familiar with our classroom and the school. We also learned how to be Safe, Respectful and Responsible in all areas of the building, even the bus. In the classroom we read stories about friendship. We shared things we like and then made friendship bracelets. Today we read Chicka Chicka, Boom Boom and made name trees and counted how many letters are in our name. We learned that the majority of kids in our classroom have five letters in their name, but some have as many as eight!
Next we will begin more of our curriculum and have some initial assessments completed as well.
Reminders:
*No School Tomorrow
*Send a snack and water bottle daily
*These first couple of weeks are all about learning rules and routines...they will be tired!
*Put your child's name on everything that comes to school...coats, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc.
