Field Trip--Grand Rapids Public Museum!

Mark your calendar...We are going to the Grand Rapids Public Museum/Planetarium on Monday, Dec. 4th.  We will need lots of parent volunteers to meet us there!   We will be there from 9:45-1:00pm.  

Phonics

Here are some words to practice reading and writing at home:

(These are the irregular words that we must learn by heart.)

*identify 2 dimensional shapes by the number of sides and vertices

(square, triangle, rectangle, circle and hexagon)

Practice at home:  Look for these 2 dimensional shapes in your home

Writing

We are learning to...

*Tell a story by illustrating

*Label our story with beginning sounds

*Retell our stories

*Form letters correctly and neatly

*We are learning to illustrate a beginning, middle and end of a story.

* Writing "I like" sentences

Reminders

*  Send a snack daily.  Be sure it is separate from their lunches and easy to find.

*  Return library books every Thursday.

*  Friday is a half day of school next week.
