December 2nd
Polar Express Day
On Friday, December 16th, we will have our special Kindergarten Polar Express Day. Kindergartners should come dressed in their pajamas!
We will be having a pancake breakfast as our snack that morning from 9:30-10:15am. If parents would like to stop in at this time you are more than welcome to come and celebrate with us! I have a sign up below if you are able to donate an item to our festivities that day.
We will be watching the Polar Express Movie that afternoon!
MLE Santa Shop
MLE Santa Shopping will take place for our class on Wednesday, Dec. 7th from 2-3pm. Items range from 50 cents to $10. Envelopes will come home next week. Please fill them out and return them with the amount you would like your child to spend. Please put these in your child's folder on/before our designated shopping date.
Report Cards
We have had some internet issues throughout the district causing disruptions with Infinite Campus, therefore report cards will now be sent home on Friday, December 9th.

Reading
This week we gained Partner Power! We learned how we can work with our partners to stay on track when reading new words. We also took a look at a patterned book this week during our Shared Reading. We discovered that when we come to a tricky word we can use the pictures and sounds in the words to decode and then read it.
Math
This week we have spent time learning about addition and subtraction through number stories. We used cubes and a ten frame to show the stories and then wrote number equations to match.
Reminders
* Send a snack daily. Several have been forgetting a snack lately.
Be sure it is separate from their lunches and easy to find.
* Return library books every Monday.
