August 28th
I hope you all had a restful weekend. I feel like it was a whirlwind getting my daughter up to NMU for her first year of college. It sure seems like yesterday that she was just starting kindergarten. Cherish these moments with your little ones as it goes by in a flash once they start school!
We had a busy first week of school getting to know and practice all of our rules for being Safe, Respectful and Responsible while at school. Our class was doing a great job demonstrating good behavior.
Thank you for talking to your kindergartner about where their snack is located. This was a huge help!
This coming week we will continue to practice our routines and focus on being Safe, Respectful and Responsible.
Take a Peek at our Week...
MLE Welcome Back Assembly
Social Centers
Everyday we take time to make center choices and learn to interact and play with others. This is a vital piece of learning in kindergarten. During this time the students decide what they do and they also discover ways to solve problems when they arise with their peers.
Building and constructing
This week we also sorted all of the play food into food group categories.
Puppet Fun!
We read a story about things we like and then drew all the things we are fond of.
The kids then took time to share their "writing" with each other.
Do-a-Dot Names
Looking forward to another FUN week!
