Happy Earth Day!  Today we talked about the little things we can do to make a difference in keeping our world a safe and healthy place to live.  We talked about recycling and picking up trash and turning off lights to conserve energy.

 Reading/Phonics

This week we learned that vowels are not only found in every word, but also in every syllable of a word.

Can your child read all these SNAP words?

I have included our most recent SNAP word assessment in your child's folder today.  Please help your child practice the highlighted words.  The words we learn this year are the same words your child will review the first unit of their first grade year, so knowing them now will help them feel confident going into first grade as a reader!
