February 6th

February 6th

Yay!  We got a full week of school in this week!  The kids have settled back into our routines.  This week we participated in Global Play Day.  In kindergarten, we know the importance of play in a child's development.  During play, children build social and emotional tools and they learn to solve problems independently.  On Wednesday, the kids had the entire day to be in charge of their learning and play without any screen time.  It is always fun to see how the kids choose to spend their day!

On Thursday, we celebrated the 100th day of school!  We read 100 words, made 100 day crowns, did 100 exercises, made 100 Fruit Loop necklaces grouping by 10's and worked in teams to try and build 100 cup structures...this one took lots of teamwork, patience and cooperation!

I will be out of the classroom on Monday, Feb. 9th to take the Ski Team to our Regional meet.  Miss B. will be in the classroom.  If you have any end of the day changes or messages for her, please feel free to email her at kbartholomew@lowellschools.com
