May 9th

Thank you so much for all the wonderful treats, meals and thoughtful gifts this week for Teacher Appreciation Week.  The entire staff has felt lots of love this week for sure!!  

Yesterday I sent home some word building kids with the kids.  Today they have some books that they may keep as well.  These are silly decodable stories for them to practice reading.  

At the end of the year, I will also send home a writing journal that they can do and return to me in the fall for a little reward!

We said our goodbye's and well wishes to Miss Emma today.  It has been fun having her extra help over the last few months.  We wish her all the best as she graduates from LHS and continues her education at Grand Valley State University in the fall.  

Dates for your calendar

Monday--10:00-12:30am  Field Trip to the Dairy Discovery Farm-- Please dress your child in old shoes or boots ready for the farm.  They will need a lunch and drink as well.  Parents attending should meet us at the farm.  The address is:  12877 84th St SE, Alto, MI 49302.  

Thursday--Wittenbach Nature Center--All students will need a lunch and drink as we will be eating at the nature center.  Parent volunteers, please arrive at the nature center across from the high school at 9:30am.  We will be outside a good portion of the day.  Please consider applying bug spray and or sunscreen the morning of our trip.  

May 29th--10:45-1:00pm  End of the year Kdg Picnic at Creekside Park for students and families.  All students will need a lunch and drink as we will be eating at the park.
