First Day!
We spent lots of time learning routines, rules and expectations. There was a lot of listening happening, but we also found time to get to know each other and play together. They are a friendly bunch and they were already actively engaging in conversations with each other. We also got to go to our first music class. Tomorrow we will have Art. We also started our Number Corner singing songs about the days of the week and counting the days in school.
Thank you for sharing your little people with me! They are a great bunch!!
A couple reminders for tomorrow...
*Your child is bringing home a folder today. They need to bring this back and forth to school everyday. They are learning about responsibility! If you have any notes or things to send to me or the office, please put it in the folder. You can look for any papers from school in here as well.
*Send a substantial snack everyday. We are the last to each lunch so it makes for a long morning. Please keep it separate from their lunch and show your kindergartner where they can find the snack. I had quite a few kids that had a hard time understanding what was lunch from home and what was just a snack. I ask the kids daily if they brought a lunch from home, or are getting a lunch from school.

*A spare set of clothes to keep in their cubby is always a good idea.*They will be very tired these first few weeks, but they settled in really well today!*The kids will go straight out to the playground tomorrow morning.
